Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 22, 2026

Introduction

The operator of bionicbites.com (“we”) prepared this policy to describe how personal information is handled in connection with the Bionicbites blog. Where a feature such as a newsletter, ads or analytics is mentioned, it is relevant only if it is currently active. Send privacy questions to [email protected].

Automatic records of visits

Our servers generally log technical details of each page request, namely the IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referrer and time of visit. These help us deliver the site reliably, find and fix problems and block abuse. We do not use them to track identifiable people across other sites.

Cookies and tracking technologies

Cookies, local storage and pixels may be used to remember choices, understand which articles people read, display advertising and attribute affiliate visits. Analytics, advertising and affiliate providers, if enabled, may place their own identifiers.

Browsers let you block or clear cookies, although doing so can affect how pages work and cannot stop every form of tracking. Where the law requires, we respect opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control. Do Not Track is not recognised as a legal standard.

Messages and forms

When you write to us, we receive the details you provide, typically a name, an email address and your message. We use them to reply, to evaluate corrections and to keep a record of the discussion. Please leave out sensitive information, including health details related to allergies.

Newsletter

If we offer a newsletter, your email address is used to send it and to manage your preferences. The service we use may record when emails are delivered or opened. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and a small suppression record is kept to honour your decision.

Ad partners, affiliates and embedded content

Advertising partners may obtain device and browsing information to serve and measure adverts; under some laws this is regarded as sharing or targeted advertising. Affiliate links may pass a referral code to a merchant or network. Embedded maps, videos or social posts can connect to their provider when a page loads.

Providers and legal disclosures

Companies that supply hosting, security, email, analytics and advertising may handle data for us or for themselves under their own notices. Information may be disclosed where the law demands, to protect people or the site, or in a transfer of the blog to another operator. Linked sites follow their own policies.

Retention and security

We keep information for as long as its purpose or a legal obligation requires, and afterwards remove or anonymise it. Reasonable safeguards protect the data we hold, yet no online service can promise complete security.

International processing

Some providers may process information in other countries. Where the law requires, appropriate protections apply to those transfers.

Your rights

You may have rights to access, correct or delete your information, to limit or object to some uses and to opt out of sharing for advertising, depending on your location. Email [email protected] with your request. We may verify identity in a proportionate way and will not penalise you for using your rights.

Children

Bionicbites is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 and will delete such information once we learn of it.

Policy changes

Updates will appear on this page together with a revised effective date, and with extra notice if the law requires it.
